Can you freeze paneer?

Just that - bought two packs to make a curry, kids point blank refused it so it's been languishing in the fridge, now going out of date and we are going away tonight?

You can, but it goes a bit crumbly and is best if you freeze it already in a sauce.

It usually has quite a long best/before date though, I’d expect it to last a holiday?

Edit - I’m assuming you’re wondering about an unopened pack, it will only last a couple of days opened.

Yes but it can absorb smells from other foods easily.

I freeze it fine all the time in a block, I slice it slightly frozen as it's easier and it hasn't ever fallen apart in cooking.
