Nursery packed lunches

DS is just 3, started nursery at the start of the month, I have to send packed lunches. Cold, no thermos allowed.

Nursery have had to give him something extra most days because he is still hungry after his lunch. I already send a full adult sized lunchbox and nursery have agreed it is a decent amount of food.

What else can I add in so he isn't still hungry?

So far I have sent
Best of both sandwiches (2 slices) with ham and cream cheese, blueberries, banana, yogurt, raisins, mini cheddars, sliced cucumber + pepper and a biscuit

Cheese and crackers, 4 whole grain crackers, salami, pea puffs, a peach, grapes (1/4 obv) yogurt, a soreen bar, dried mango

Cheese and ham roll, cucumber, strawberries, yogurt, fruit snacks, cheesy bread sticks, a boiled egg

Falafel, hummus, wraps, pepper, cucumber, sweetcorn, raisins, babybel, yogurt, a biscuit, pea puffs, grapes, blueberries, a banana

I use full fat everything, plenty of protein in the meals, wholegrain where possible. It is a lot of food for a 3 year old but the child has apparently hollow legs. he is big for his age and will eat most things. I don't want nursery to have to keep topping him up as they charge me over the odds for it!

Muffin Pizzas (top a slightly toasted muffin with tomato paste, oregano, chicken, sweetcorn and cheese, grill and serve cold)

Tuna pasta, add anything like peppers, tomatoes, spring onion, cheese.

Will they eat chilled smoked mackerel? Mine loved that in pasta with spring onions, peas and sweetcorn with cheddar.

Homemade loaded potato skins with a dip?

As snacks, boiled eggs are filling too.

Homemade Quiche or Frittata?

My children love soft dried prunes, they are heavy and sticky.

Flapjack with raisins, chopped apricot, etc

Cooked chicken breast chunks.

Hard boiled egg
rice cakes
cold cooked chicken nuggets (if fridge available)
smoothie
fake chocolate mousse (avocado, banana, cocoa, blitzed)
dates
nuts? (if permitted)

when he‘s older pasty/ chicken drum sticks

would he eat wholemeal bread? It keeps you fuller a bit longer

Why cannot you supply food in a thermos? I’d be exceeding pissed off with this limitation. Many children will only eat warm food.

I used to make mini omelettes in a muffin tin. Mix up egg and milk, add grated cheese, ham, herbs etc. Maybe a tiny bit of butter if they stick? ( Don't think they did though.) Cook in oven and they are very portable little snacks.
