Help me rescue my apple & blackberry pie!

I took my eye of DD who was stirring and we've ended up with jam rather than pie filling I think?! Don't do much baking.

Plan was to put filling in a sort of strudel affair using shop puff pastry.

Can I still do that or will it all just slop out?! Any other way to use this with puff pastry??

I’d probably stick a nice crumble topping on it and serve with custard.

It'll be y FFGY one because it's not too wet

Fine

They are desperate for pastry! I might drain a bit of liquid off for having with yoghurt then try a solid strudel so no gaps to escape out of. Wish me luck!!

Make it into a fruit sponge pudding, just top with a quick "all in one" sponge mixture.
For an apple and blackberry pie, I don't pre cook the filling, I just layer the raw fruit on the pastry base, top with more pastry, then bake.

A millefeuille type of cake? Bake the puff pastry in sections. Then later it with the fruit mixture in between. Top with icing sugar

If you have any more apples I'd just slice those and add to this mix in the pastry. I don't pre-cook pie filling either, just apple slices, sugar, cinnamon and a bit of flour to thicken the juice/sauce.

Anyone got a good, authentic recipe for jollof rice?
