Yes! Does have a tenency to overcook veg and pasta though (as in too long and too much)

Used to be absolutely terrible - would do things like not reading a recipe properly so not realising it was a starter for two, then trying to serve it up as a main course for four people. He once made "Liver and Onions" but found the onions sitting on the worktop just as he was about to dish up.

Much improved - as I have - with responsibility and children. These days he's not too bad at all on basic stuff like sausage and mash, and he's the only one in the house who's capable of doing a proper fry-up . He also has a small repertoire of "proper" recipes... his Tuna Au Poivre is to die for and he does a lovely steak as well. However, he doesn't get much chance to practice as I enjoy cooking and tend to hog the more interesting stuff - also I'm (sort of) a SAHM so most of the cooking falls to me anyway. I have never dared to let him loose on a roast but might try it sometime just for the experience!

My dh is an excellent cook and and we cook together every night after putting dd to sleep. We chat while we slice, dice & stir, prepare her bottles, fill the dishwasher, etc.. Its quite relaxing for us.

He does great Chinese, Italian (great risotto & pasta), Thai, and the standard meat & 2 vegs. We used cook from scratch, but now that we're parents, we do the big meals on the weekends.

He's the type that can make something out of what's the cupboard and doesn't measure his ingredients. I'm the exact opposite.

Take back what I said about DH being able to warm up a quiche. I rang him from work yesterday to ask him to put one in the oven and arrived home to find the oven cold and quiche in the fridge. Hard to be though as he was dusting the living room window as I parked on the drive.

He cooks at least once a week, but quite often more.
Last week I cooked once and he did the rest.
He's a good cook, not as good as me, but hey that would be tricky

DH is brilliant at making popcorn so he's a star as far as DS is concerned But that's about it on the cooking front!

My DH is a chef and cooks all the time... he does it better than me naturally! I have cooked for him a few times, but find I dont enjoy my meal because Im constantly asking if its ok and saying he could do it better.... so I really dont bother now unless Im trying to get into his good books IYKWIM!

my dh has got better and better. I invited 7 friends round for supper on Sat night and he rather sweetly has offered to cook . He's going retro and doing smoked salmon, coq au vin and chocolate torte .
