No sweetners and not water

I'm finding the list frighteningly low

I think I am reliably down to a 'cup of tea' or coke from a bottle or tin

Anyone found anything good?

When I last worked in a pub a billion years ago the cordials (lime and cordial) were Schweppes and full sugar

This would have been pre sugar tax. Almost all cordials have changed recipe over the last 5 years or so and even full fat ones have sugar and sweeteners. I still mourn proper ribena! Roses lime cordial is fine, but most pubs don’t use it and I don’t order lime and soda anymore after sweetener disappointment.

Is no alcohol because of the taste oor the effects?
You could try a alcohol free fruit cider? I've found most pubs stock one.

I found this at a pub the other day - I was there with work and was driving so no alcohol. The only things I could drink were Fevertree mixers or water. They had no fruit juice, only J2O which has sweeteners, Pepsi instead of Coke, lemonade (both sweeteners), cordials all had sweeteners too.

They trigger migraines for me and I can smell the stuff if I ever end up with a diet version by accident. It means I can’t stand things like Stevia either, even though it might not affect me the same.

This won't help with pub drinks, but grenadine syrup is full sugar. Waitrose has it, much more expensive than in France 😩. You can mix it with still or sparkling water. I carbonate water in my sodastream and add the syrup.

Non diet 7 up contains only plant based sweeteners. My wife is pku intolerant and has to take her own mixer. Most places are ok but some can get quite stroppy when she buys the spirit on it's own and want to charge for the mixer she hasn't had.

I hate sweeteners. I have started to ask. I found people get confused when I say I don't like sweeteners, so I've started to say artificial sweeteners give me a headache and then they get it and are happy to check. Otherwise they thought I was asking for the low calorie version I think.

My DD had to avoid sweeteners a while back and we got Roses lime cordial, some brands of elderflower cordial and Beauvoir blackcurrant or fruit.
But there were changes since then I know.

The worst thing about them putting sweetener in all the soft drinks is they don't remove the sugar at the same time. So they're good for nobody. As a diabetic I can't drink them as they're still loaded with sugar, yet they're also no good for people with intolerances who can't have the sweetener. I really wish there was a sugar free version AND a sweetener free version, rather than these useless hybrids with sugar and sweetener in that please no-one.

'fresh orange juice and soda please'. No, not lemonade, soda. Watches bar person start to open a bottle of cordial, 'excuse me, FRESH orange juice and soda, please, not that'.

It used to be the case that if you asked for orange juice in a pub you would get squash. “Fresh orange” was not really fresh, but it was at least actual orange juice in a bottle. The code for real fresh orange juice was “freshly squeezed orange juice” – if they had any oranges on the premises at all to begin with, of course.

Just checked and Roses is still sweetener free as are all the brands of elderflower except possibly Robinson's.
Rocks and Belvoir Farm are also free of sweetener.
