If money was no object - weekly menu, home-cooked?

I've been reading a few threads about essential budget cooking - not trying to be tone deaf here - because this is just a fantasy thread, not a 'what do you eat if you're rich' one. Having said that - if you could eat anything you wanted for all meals for a whole week, with no worries about cost, convenience, ethics and all that good stuff - what would your week look like - no restrictions, no calorie counts, no worry about price - just a week of wonderful food - BUT - you have to cook it yourself. YOU HAVE TO COOK IT YOURSELF (in case anyone missed that bit). What would you have? Will be back later with mine 'cos it's going to take a bit of thinking!

The same as I eat now to be honest! Which isn't expensive it is just what I like - mostly marinaded meats or fish with lots of salad and jacket potato and flatbread. It's just what I like. I'd just buy the meat from the nice butcher instead of the supermarket and the veg from the farm shop if money was no object. So better quality.

That should read jacket potato or flatbread

Mine aren't limited so much by cost, as by availability. Although some cost Grin I'd eat mainly this:

Breakfast - Perfect figs, straight from the tree, with soft French cheese and a little brioche. Also apricots, freshly picked. Or a simple omelette with very fresh eggs.

Lunch - Moules et frites, glass of ice cold rose.

Dinner - Fresh lobster and crab, straight off the outdoor grill, with a wonderful salad and a little baguette, glass of Champagne.

Evening - Red wine, almonds and cheese

I do my best to eat like this, but a few corners are necessarily cut Grin

DS does all the cooking in our house. He’s only 14 but he really loves cooking! So can he still do the cooking, he can choose as he and I would choose the same things. We’d spend the whole week eating fish and sea food, plus a lasagne, lamb roast dinner with extra Yorkshire puddings and steak with homemade chips, peppercorn sauce and asparagus. DH wouldn’t be happy about all the sea food though. If calories don’t count, I’d just eat allllll the chocolate for snacks.

I think that is brilliant! Great that you encourage your DS.
I agree with all your food choices. Would add lamb shanks and gooey chocolate cake.
