Tofu for beginners?

Morning all, I'm keen to start incorporating tofu into my diet, but no idea where or how to start. I tried some Cauldron ready made spiced tofu, but it tasted like any other highly salted UPF with additional strange texture.

Do any of you have any tofu for dummies recipes? I know there are different types and I'm not trying to make it taste like a meat substitute, just any simple recipes that will show tofu off to it's best advantage would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance ❤️

Scrambled tofu. Mash up tofu on a plate (don't bother draining). In a frying pan, cook some garlic. While cooking mix up nutritional yeast, turmeric, mixed herbs, pepper and chilli if you like it with some boiling water in a separate dish. Add tofu to pan for a minute. Mix in herb/ nutritional yeast mixture and stir until water reduced. Serve on or with toast.

I like it sliced into fingers then fried til crispy. It's particularly good in fajitas

I make this quite often.
Sometimes use chilli sauce instead of mango chutney.,

I love tofu. I usually get ultra firm tofu, give it a good long press, and then marinate it for 48-72. I do a bunch of different marinades - usually a soy sauce base, maybe mixed with some garlic, ginger, hot sauce, honey, chilli jam - whatever is hanging around the kitchen tbh. After it's soaked up the marinade, I dredge it in cornflour and pan fry it til golden and crispy. If I'm feeling fancy I might cover it in breadcrumbs or sesame seeds for the extra crunch.

I make silken tofu with a tsp honey and either 1tsp cocoa powder or lemon, blended. It's like mousse.

I want to love ordinary tofu but really don't like it. You're inspiring me to try again.
