Food for a Party in the Park

Going to a day festival, more party in the park type thing than a true festival. The weather is not looking too good so don't think I'll be able to lay out a picnic and eat off plates, think it's going to be more open tupperware, grab something, put lid back on. So I'm thinking, pork pies sausage rolls sandwiches. Just wondered if anyone had any more exciting suggestions.

I'd go with some nice filled baguettes, maybe slightly more exciting filings than your everyday. Things like roast beef with rocket and horseradish mayo, tandoori chicken, lettuce and cucumber with mango chutney and raita, Brie and cranberry, smoked salmon, cream cheese and dill. Etc

Ohh that sound lovely, great idea.

I second the idea of nicer and more interesting sandwhiches/baguettes.

Quiches work well and can be easily eaten by hand.

If there are kids involved, individual blocks of cheese - babybel or "fancy it up" with the individual blocks from M&S with nice crackers.

No children, just 4 adults.

I would do home made cheese scones, cherry tomatoes, cucumber sticks, hunmous, bread sticks, maybe quails eggs ? Am veggi and would worry about eggs or meat in the heat and unrefridgerated. Maybe falfels?

Oh and small fruit so cherries, strawberries or grapes.

samosa for sure!

I'd cook some nice hot dog sausages. M&S ones are good.
Pop them in a warmed food flask.
Take bread rolls pre sliced ones.

Warm hot dogs whenever you fancy.

If you can be bothered to carry them ketchup and mustard goes down well too.
