If I want to add ground almond to a biscuit recipe...

Do I just take out some of the flour and replace with the almond?

I've got a good lemon biscuit recipe but I wanted to adapt it to orange and almond.

I'm amateur at best so not sure what to do?

Recipe says 280g plain flour? Should I just replace 100g with ground almond?

Am I over simplifying it?

Thanks!

What is the reason you want to do this? There are recipes for citrus almond biscuits like this so I would always stick to a tested recipe for baking. You can switch the lemon for orange though, that's just flavouring/acidity so either will work.

This Italian cookie recipe with lemon and almond is a deliciously soft gluten-free bake.

Google and use an almond and orange recipe?

I'd do what you suggested OP - no need to be hung up on recipes - explore and experiment

I love a bit of ground almond in cake or biscuits. I just swap it for some of the flour. Do exactly as you suggested. If you don't like the result then next time use less or more.

You can sub some in but I wouldn't go for 100g as it changes the texture and (obviously) won't have gluten in. I'd probably go for 50g myself.
