What would you do with a large tub of toasted sesame seeds?

They are amazing but I have ordered a large tub by mistake. I am not looking to use them up in a short space of time but probably within a year. Are there any good recipes out there which anyone can recommend? Thanks

Make miso soup with veg & tofu and use them as a topping with herbs and sesame oil... Delicious 😋

Good idea - I have a load of miso paste to use up. I usually leave out the tofy because it is a very small fraction of the block and I would probably forget to use the rest.

Sesame seeds on miso soup is every kind of wrong.

Coating for pan fried or grilled fish, esp salmon, is good. Also use liberally on sticky Korean chicken immediately after cooking.

I think keep a decanted amount on the coutner top to remind you t sprinkle them on most things, toast, toast with jam, porrige, everything you would ever have for lunch and dinner. Also, send some to me, I now want a large amount of tasted sesame seeds...

I would do too! These are beyond gorgeous, a complete gamechanger . I will never look twice at an anemic, tasteless supermarket pack ever again. If only I had estimated the volume correctly!

Add to your museli or breakfast oats.

You’ll have to make it a thousand time to use up your seeds but I love this one

Ooh, I love an air fried schnitzel. I think I am going to try and scatter them into every recipe until I grow thoroughly sick of them.

I know the halva you mean. The shop bought wasn't all that great but if you have a good recipe for a homemade halva that would be grand.

😂 Thanks. i will be making tahini as we are big humous eaters but I reckon there will still be a lot left over after that. I love those shop bought sesame snaps but I don't eat hard sugar products anymore. I was hoping to be able to make some of those hard Turkish savory biscuits but I cannot remember what they are called.

Add them to stir fry dishes.

these are lovely. We have ours with Broiche buns and sweet potato wedges

Whoa they look amazing 🤩

@Sudeko There was no flour involved, i think she pressed the fish fillets firmly into a shallow dish filled with sesame seed, possibly refrigerated for half an hour and then shallow fried them, one side at a time so they were in contact with the pan all the time.
(I can see that deep frying could present a problem! )

Roasted broccoli with sesame seeds and oil (and a tonne of salt) is lovely.

Only 3tbs sesame seeds in these flapjacks but they are so yummy you'll be making them on repeat: https://www.waitrose.com/home/recipes/recipe_directory/l/louise_s_flapjacks.html

Also Nigella's granola - 120g needed for the recipe. Says white sesame but I use toasted ones which work fine
