Ideas for what to feed Italian relatives?

We've been to stay with them and they just eat beautifully. I cook a lot and from scratch but a lot of my food is Mexican, Asian, and Italian! I'm going to do a roast of course with crumble and custard. And full English one morning. And we'll probably get fish and chips one night. But I'm stuck for ideas apart from that. What would you make?

Coronation Quiche!

Who wouldn't love broad beans in a quiche?

DH is Italian and he loves Marmite, black pudding, Cumberland sausages, fruit cake, good fish and chips, porridge and bitter marmalade. Hates rice pudding, Heinz beans, Gregg’s and anything “Italian Style”.)

Hahah yes! To add balance to my previous post... I know a Neapolitan pizza chef whose food is out of this world, but on his days off he eats burger cheese and processed ham on sandwiches with ketchup 😳😂

Something you love cooking and feel comfortable cooking to ease the stress. Chances are if you love it, they will too.

This is incredibly easy and has a bit of a talking point with the Boursin - at this time of year I’d serve with mash and loads of spring green veg: https://www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk/recipes/roast-chicken-with-garlic-and-herb-cheese-sauce/amp/

Toad-in-the-hole. Kedgeree can be a winner for brunch or an evening meal.

Also super-easy and a crowd-pleaser https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/chicken-couscous-one-pot

A ‘refined’ sausage and mash. Decent local sausages. Nice green veg and a home made gravy!

@karmakameleon except Italians. We traditionally don't use cream in it.

I’d avoid spicy Asian. Had Italian in-laws and took them to an Indian restaurant - disaster and they were rude.

Depends in how ‘international the are’. Chinese might be better liked.

My mil liked salmon and a steak so made that with salad lots. Avoided Italian food every day. Sil wouldn’t tolerate anything non Italian so we ate Italian everyday when she stayed.

depends on your guests and what you like cooking.

Ask them to cook a couple of nights (you buy the ingredients). If they enjoy cooking (sounds like they do), they might enjoy that.

Lasagne , chips & coleslaw!

my Italian relatives love to get Chinese & curries when they come over & when we visit we always bring curry ingredients.

Except for ex SIL who would only eat Italian & had to have pasta ever day! Would try anything else.
