Started my dd on it when she was about 8 months - she loves it!!

Jinna, I think that they can have it after 6 months, as it contains gluten and you're not supposed to give that until after 6mths.

Jinna,
As Paula1 says it's 6 months, I started my ds's on it around then, mainly because they were so hungry and would eat 2 or 3 rusks in one sitting each.I was getting through loads of boxes. So I hoped the weeterbix would fill them up a bit more.
Don't start putting suger on it and they won't expect to have it, try a hand full of raisns or mashed bananna.
They are now 4 and still love it they much prefere it to these fancy sugery cereals.
They are still hungry though and will eat 2 each, followed by toast and/or yogart, bananna.

Jinna, started mine on Weetabix at 6 months and alternated with baby rice. He is now 8 months and still enjoys it. I try to keep it plain and offer fruit/plain youghurt afterwards so that I know he'll always like it as is!
Incidentally, has anyone tried the instant Ready Brek? Is it easy to do with formula?

whellid · 19/11/2002 19:15

Inga - yes it's easy with formula. I use 2 spoons of ready brek, and add fruit to it rather than sugar. It's great for the cold mornings, and ds loves it as much as I do!
