Help! My 17 month old is getting harder and harder to feed. If it's pasta she loves it but anything else tends to be a battle.... I would love some easy ideas of food which is quick and easy to make. Did I mention easy?

Pancake. I believe in pancakes. Make pancake batter, stir in any chopped up meat/veg. Cook. Yum. Easy. That's how we eat our leftover veg when we were little and I still like it (and DC like it too which is more to the point I suppose.)

Cook with her. My DS loves making pancakes with me. You could cook pasta with sweet corn and peas. Pizza is another one. you could use French stick or plain muffings and put the things she likes on. She can help assembling them and then you bake them. Marinate chicken together in lemon juice, crashed garlic, a bit of honey, leave for a couple of hours then cook. Home made chips - she can watch you cut them. Omelette, scrabled egg - she can beat the eggs. Make funny noises immitating the cooking, laugh, make it a really pleasant occasion. Sandwiches cut in shapes using cookie cutters. Make her plate look attractive with some faces - you can use red pepper, carrot, radishes, chives - just experiment. It doesn't need to be perfect. libraries are packed with books with some lovely pictures of recipes for fussy todlers. I feel for you. it's not easy but it will get better. Good luck!

My fail safe is a dip made with philadelphia, mayonaise, tomatoe sauce and a dash of worcester sauce. Serve with tomatoes, cucumber, pitta bread, cheese, ham (whatever they like)

Always go down well with ds who is quite difficult at the mo

I picked up Anabel cramers book but haven't found it that useful. Seems most toddler recipes are pasta with insert some type of sauce. Also they often call for ingredients I don't have in the house.... Some great ideas here guys, keep em coming :-)
