Roast chicken in one side (lots of seasalt, pepper and other herbs/spices/seasonings), lightly potatoes in the other with a light coating in oil, salt/pepper/herbs.

Add raw parsnips to the potato side if you like.

Nothingbuttheglory · 26/02/2023 15:46

Not stereotypical 'air fryer' beige food!!

If it's a dual drawer I'd go for a roast. You'll not bother with your oven again.

AlisonDonut · 26/02/2023 16:16

Pro home cooks on you tube did loads of air fryer recipes during lockdown.

mafsfan · 26/02/2023 16:17

Also it comes with some recipes which are good to try and get used to it.

It's basically a replacement oven/grill - so cook anything too would in that!

Yankydoodledandy · 26/02/2023 16:21

Do they really bring bills down??

MermaidEyes · 26/02/2023 16:24

The first thing we did was fishfingers 😆 But it does delicious steak and potato wedges. Also roast chicken dinner.

TheMatriarchy · 26/02/2023 16:28

Bacon, it will astound.

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 26/02/2023 16:29

We do bagel bites which are ridiculously moreish, just slice a bagel into thin pieces like coins, about half a cm thick. Then toss them in oil and whatever seasoning you like and bake till crispy (150 degrees c for 7-10 mins).

toastedscone · 26/02/2023 18:30

Salmon. Season with mixed Thai spice and whack in the air fryer for 20 mins. Banging.

adognamedrover · 26/02/2023 18:46

Just cooked roast beef in one side of mine and roast potatoes in the other side. Once all cooked I chucked the yorkshires in one side for 5 mins!
I'm obsessed with making pizza in ours. Even lazy pizza, eg loads of toppings on pitta bread!

rocketdoggy · 27/02/2023 16:20

Could you put sweet potato and carrots in one drawer? What temp and how long would you do it for?

Carrotco · 27/02/2023 18:02

Thanks every one, will definitely be trying out some these, pita bread pizza and halloumi sticks sounds great. Looking forward to Sunday roasting and the Bagels bites might try with paprika. Love bacon but don’t often make it due the faff of cleaning the grill.

Jacket potatoes are amazing! They were crispy after 5 mins but I cooked them a lot longer. That 20% discount is amazing. I used it on the ninja bbq last week.

Randommother · 27/02/2023 18:11

I did a half side of Salmon last night. I made a marinade with miso paste, soy, honey and a little sesame oil, air fried at 200 for 12 mins - delicious!!

We also do toasties in ours, top tip is put mayo on the outside to make it extra crispy, air-fry for 4 mins each side.

SavBlancTonight · 28/02/2023 11:45

I made baked feta in ours as a light lunch on Sunday and my DH and DC think I am the world's greatest air fryer cook. Few sliced spring onions and red pepper, feta on top, drizzle of oil, some chilli flakes and some thyme. I think I did it for 10 minutes (cooked it in an oven dish in air fryer). Drizzled a little honey on after as it needed the sweetness. Delicious and something I'd never dream of going to all the hassle of turning on the oven to pre heat etc etc for. From deciding to do it to eating was 15 minutes.

But in terms of easy, family friendly convenience - a pack of sausages takes about 12 minutes, quick shake half way through. No need to monitor and I find that super convenient. Boil some potatoes for mash, steam some veg and done! No effort.

Anyone want to share the 20% Lakeland discount code, pretty please? I can't find it online.

This is AMAZING.

I increase the veg/meat ratio and save the marinade and boil it off as an pour over sauce
