Anyone have one?

Nothing with sweet sauces in or grease please! And I hate vinegar, so could I get away with not including it??

I need it for a party on Saturday. Thanks!

I haven't made this specific dish, but Marions Kitchen on YouTube is my go to for East Asian food, I have made multiple recipes and they turn out great.

Not sure if they have one but the Woks of Life website is amazing for Asian recipes

Not much help but for anyone reading this looking for tips then I HIGHLY recommend Sainsburys Crispy chilli beef. So good.

It's not crispy but I do a really nice beef in a spicy szechuan sauce.

750 grams of beef rump steak
2 cloves of crushed garlic
2 teaspoons of fresh grated ginger
2 tablespoons dry sherry
1 tablespoon soy sauce
3 tablespoons black bean sauce (if you have a Chinese grocery shop, buy it from them. Black bean sauce tastes completely different from a normal supermarket)
2 onions cut into wedges
1 red capsicum cut into strips
300 grams of broccoli cut in florets.
250 grams of snow peas (you can substitute for sugar peas or any young fresh peas)
chilli flakes
1 tablespoon cornflour
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon bicarb soda
peanut oil or any vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon sesame oil

It's better to do the preparation well in advance. Once you start cooking, it takes very little time.

Cut the beef into thin slices. If you put the meat in the freezer for 30/40 minutes it'll be easier to cut.

In a bowl, beat the egg, add the soy sauce, 1/4 teaspoon of sesame oil and the bicarb soda. Beat until all combined and add the beef making sure it's well coated. Put the bowl in the fridge for 2-3 hours.

About 30 minutes you want to serve dinner, put the cornflour in a mug with a bit of cold water. Mix well and add the soy sauce and black bean sauce. Fill the mug with cold water until 3/4 full.

In a wok, put some peanut oil and when it's hot add the onion, capsicum, broccoli and snow peas and cook for 3/4 minutes constantly stirring. Set aside the vegetables in a bowl.

Add another splash of oil to the wok and on high heat add the fresh ginger, crushed garlic and chilli flakes. The ginger and garlic will brown very quickly so after a few seconds add the beef and cook on high heat until its browned but not fully cooked. You need to still see pink in the meat before you add the vegetables. Toss the meat with the vegetables for a few seconds, add the sherry and toss some more. Add then the cornflour sauce and keep cooking on high heat until the sauce has thickened. Serve immediately.

It sounds complicated but it's one easiest meals to prepare if the preparation has been done before the cooking begins.

Look for Lao Gan Ma Crispy Chili condiment. Total game changer! Should be available at any halfway decent Asian food store.

Crispy beef is deep fried which is what makes it crispy and is therefore incompatible with your non-greasy requirement

I found a BBC recipe and fried the beef in avocado oil and then put to one side in kitchen paper so it wasn't greasy in the end. It turned out well I'm pleased to say!

Thanks everyone for your comments.
