Just as title really it says use by 31st. We have a four pack which wasn't eaten over Xmas. Have searched online various things suggest it's ok but gov.uk still strict about use by due to potential health risks. Wwyd?

I would definitely eat them but probably not let my children eat them as feel that would be irresponsible

ouch321 · 04/01/2023 13:24

So so yes. I'd eat prob up to 10 days out of date.

eatdrinkandbemerry · 04/01/2023 13:24

If the lid wasn't blown then yep I would eat it 🤷‍♀️

KnickerlessParsons · 04/01/2023 13:24

Yes -unless it's smelly or has otherwise obviously degraded.

Porcinimushroom · 04/01/2023 13:39

No. I value not being sick too much and wouldn’t take a risk for something like this. Gu desserts I’d consider it, but Cadbury heroes. Nope.

Treeeeeeee · 04/01/2023 13:45

Not a chance - straight in the bin they would go

Joolsin · 04/01/2023 13:46

I'd definitely eat it, and give to my kids too. It's only very slightly past the date on the pack and also full of sugar which doesn't go off as such.

Eixample · 04/01/2023 13:51

It’s a few days over and it’s sugary. I probably wouldn’t even bother sniffing it to be honest, it will be fine.

Floralnomad · 04/01/2023 13:52

I would assuming it looked ok

AllyPallyWally · 04/01/2023 13:55

I would eat without a second thought unless it smelt bad

Lcb123 · 04/01/2023 13:57

Definitely if they are sealed, and smell fine when you open. So much sugar I expect they’d last a year! Use by is massively conservative anyway

Movinghouseatlast · 04/01/2023 14:01

Yes I would. They are probably full of preservatives anyway. I judge by smell and taste with stuff like that though with meat I'm a bit more careful.

SpacePotato · 04/01/2023 14:07

Yes, without a second thought.

ChristmasCakeAndStilton · 04/01/2023 14:11

I'd eat them, assuming the lid wasnt blown, and it looked and smelt fine on opening.
