I just saw this advert - how ridiculous

It's not like you need a tin opener to open the tin

Just to save on washing up - how awful

can the plastic tub not be recycled?

KatyMac · 01/02/2008 22:22

Well it might be - but who knows even the council can't tell you which plastics can be recycled in your area

can't they? ours says all but type 3, i think.

KatyMac · 01/02/2008 22:25

Gosh no

No foil, only plastic bottles (no lids), no vacuum pack thingies (you know meat etc) here

It's a nightmare

It's not to save on washing up, but to make the quantity 'just right for beans on toast' .

Actually I like them in the small pots quantity wise, but had already commented to dh that it was a strange decision eco wise.

No yogurt pots or tetra paks either

I cannot fathom this either. We can only recycle plastic bottles here.

But what got me was the laziness of it, the depressing laziness. Ah, this will take me one minute instead of five. Ah, this will save me washing one pan.

It represents something I hate

Oh I use the M/W - only I pour beans into bowl then zap

Then I put rest of beans in to clean bowl covered in cling in fridge (in theory)

oh yes, keep forgetting, microwaves. There you go. They already take seonds so why put them in a silly plastic tub?
