Recipe bucket list

I constantly have around 15-20 recipes open in a 'would like to cook' way on my phone, am I the only person?

Current list of potential to-makes include:

Jalapeño maple bacon cornbread
Gougères (also choux pastry generally - it's one I've never attempted and I feel that is remiss of me)
Irish cream tiramisu
Slow cooker dal
Self saucing butterscotch pudding (I made something very similar to this with apples many years ago but lost the recipe, I need to try this one and see if it lives up to my memory!)
Salt and pepper squid
Persian chicken with mint, pistachio and rice
Stuffed Greek chicken with cayenne, oregano and orzo
Chocolate fudge crinkle biscuits
Fig and Serrano ham focaccia

Anyone else? What's on your 'ooh, that sounds nice' list?

I made Sichuan plum and venison stew from the Ocado app a few weeks ago and I would not recommend it, for the amount of effort and time it required.

I'd get RSA writing a list !
I subscribe to eatyourbooks, which tells me I've got over 15,000 recipes in 89 books.

As an example, this includes 2,000 chicken recipes, 1,600 broccoli, & 20 that use both.
I've also got a box file overflowing with recipes I've printed off.

Not enough time to try them all, but I'm leaning towards Asian flavours as I get older.

I've got some venison in the freezer, so thanks for the tip about it. I'll probably do my usual in port with juniper berries.

Ohh, could you share the link for the butterscotch self sauce pudding, please @LBOCS2 . I do a chocolate one occasionally.

LBOCS2 · 13/11/2022 20:08

It's this good housekeeping one - very similar to the apple one I did years ago, so I have high hopes!

Thank you. Tab open 😁
Looks similar to the chocolate one I can't find the recipe for - Make chocolate cake. Sprinkle cocoa and brown sugar over the top, then hot water from the kettle. Put in oven, and wait for the magic. I know what I'm making next weekend.

Only about 15-20? Oh for a life that simple. I probably have about a hundred times that amount. Every time I see a post where someone can't think what to make for dinner or is bored of eating the same five things, I just think 'how is that possible'?

There's probably a name for collecting more recipes than you could ever make in a lifetime. And I want to make/eat all of them.
