What can I have for tea that is easy, tasty, can be eaten on the sofa and doesn't make to much washing up, bonus is slightly healthy. Usual is pyizza, but don't fancy it tonight?

I'm afraid the first thing I thought of when I saw your thread title was 'Lovely bit of squirrel!' which will mean nothing to anybody who didn't see Friday Night Dinner on Channel 4.

More sensible answer: pasta. You could gently fry garlic, cherry tomatoes, little florets of broccoli, sliced mushrooms, possibly a bit of spring or red onion, maybe some peppers, in olive oil, and stir in the cooked pasta with plenty of black pepper. Serve with grated Parmesan or another cheese. Add ham or tuna or chicken if worried about protein, or sprinkle over some seeds/toasted pinenuts for a bit of crunch.

Pick up a rotisserie chicken. Baguettes or throw in the oven rolls, bag of salad and coleslaw.

Squirrel isn’t bad. But bit hard to get on such short notice perhaps.
