I'm new to cooking (other than you basic frozen stuff chucked in the oven for 20mins or plain pasta). I want to start cooking better things for mine and my 2 toddlers. I should say I have zero cooking skill and no clue how to do anything 'fancy', just looking for simple things that I can do without blowing up the kitchen. I have a Ninja Foodi, oven & hob and microwave to work with. Please help a culinary novice (if that!) With suggestions of what to make. No allergies for me to worry about either.

Get the book 'What Mummy makes' - meals designed for children but also edible for adults. It has lots of good ideas.

How about things like omelette, you can add cooked meat or veg to a basic egg base to make easy variations. Season with salt and pepper, mixed herbs maybe a little paprika.
Home made chicken nuggets or fish fingers? Strips of chicken/fish, dip in beaten egg then cover in breadcrumbs or seasoned flour. I quite like the nandos bake in the bag - you can get milder versions.
Dahl is nice - cooked onion, red lentils, curry powder and stock.
Traybakes are a tasty and easy way to cook a whole meal in one go.
Baked salmon - soy/garlic/ginger with noodles and broccoli.
Fish cakes - like fish fingers, but add mashed potatoes/spring onions to cooked fish, mash up, add an egg, shape into a patty, dip in crumbs and shallow fry.
Potato wedges, other roast veg.
You mostly just need to cook with less/no salt for toddlers, so just add more to your own portion if it seems a bit bland.
