Has anyone tried one of these? I'm intrigued as I do cook a lot of one-pan meals, and would love to save electricity.

However they are £63 so I wondered if they were worth it.

I have one and I love it. I didn't buy it to save money though, but to save carbon emissions. It takes a bit of planning but no more so than a slow cooker, and I vastly prefer the final product - everything that came out of my slow cooker was watery and tasteless, if I'm honest, and I gave it away after giving it a valiant go for a few years. I use a cheap cast-iron casserole pot on the stove, bring it up to a simmer, pop it in the Wonderbag and it just sits there for hours and comes out just like if I'd done it in the oven. So far I've made all the usual slow cooked stuff: chili con carne, bolognese sauce, slow roasted pork shoulder over harissa beans, beef daube, etc. and they've all been lovely.

Thank you Xiaoxiong - that's useful to know.
I have never much liked slow cookers - as you say it can lead to a watery mess. We eat vegan food here so I can imagine it being useful for lots of beany stews and soups. Might go for it
