Soup maker

I had a soup maker a couple of years ago and loved the convenience of it, I could make soup in 20 mins! Also it made a healthy lunch.

I know it doesn't beat soup made on the hob but I just don't have the time for that anymore.

Anyway, it broke, so I'm thinking of replacing it. Is there one you would recommend? No budget in mind currently.

Also while we at it, any good soup maker recipes?

I have the Ninja blender and soup maker and I like it! I've only used it to make smooth soup so far (and lots of smoothies!) but it does a good job.
Obviously it also doubles as a blender and I think you can also make jam and things in it.

Only issue I have with it is that the bottom blade section doesn't come apart from the glass for washing, but it has a wash function anyway so it's not too bad. It's also quite heavy.
But it's very powerful!

Thank you @MKCH that looks good! It would annoy me not being able to wash the blades by hand though so that's a massive drawback for me unfortunately.

I saw some on the Lakeland Ebay Outlet shop. Maybe try there? Aldi sometimes have them on their special offer thing too.

I love mine! Before I had it I would never make soup and even though it’s probably not much more convenient than a pot on the stove for most people - to me it is!

@Littleguggi
Yes - I totally appreciate that! It is annoying!
Such a minor thing that they could change...

Thanks @Loveholidaystoomuch I'm actually popping to Aldi today so that gives me an excuse to look through the middle aisle.

The one I had before, think it was Morphy Richards, had the blade and motor attached to the lid. It made the lid very heavy but at least I could clean it thoroughly.

I've had 2 & would NOT recommend either.
The Morphy Richards one that sears food first. That stopped working within a month.
Then the very expensive Lakeland model. The glass cracked after 10 months.
They both came from Amazon so refunds were easy.
I did like the ease of cooking with them, but washing up was a pain & I prefer to stick a saucepan in the dw.

I have the Tefal one which I like. It doesn’t have a sauté function, but is quick, makes soup smooth and cleans easily.
