I got carried away at the supermarket the other day and bought this, thinking it was granola.

but granola is just oats anyway isn’t it? If I toast them will it do the same job?

I make my own granola with porridge oats, maple syrup, nuts and seeds. The recipe uses coconut oil and egg whites to bind it into clumps but I guess you don't have to bother with that.

Maybe just roast it on a low temp in the oven and give a mix every now and again until it's nice and toasted.

thank you - I think I’ll toast them with something to bind some bits together in clumps and see how I get on!
I couldn’t see why it wouldn’t work, but my brains not working right the last few days!

the oats may be too small and thin to work well. - I use jumbo oats. -but you can just try and see whether they work
General idea
put oats on baking tray - add nuts, seeds & sugar + a bit of salt
pour on some neutral oil (enough to very lightly coat) & maple or golden syrup. - Stir and spread out thinly
Bake on low oven for 20 or so mins checking every so on. - if you want to add dried fruit add about half way through
