Which food processor to get?

I'm trying to find a decent food processor but can't find exactly what I am looking for. The main things I need it for are shredding, slicing, grating and dicing veg to make salads etc (so finely shredding cabbage, grating carrot, dicing cucumber etc). Also making sauces like pesto and mayo. I already have a kenwood chef for mixing and that has an attached blender so not bothered about making dough or soups and similar. Any ideas what will suit? Not many seem to have the dicing feature and there are so many with crap reviews that I'm not sure what to go for!

We’ve recently refreshed our guide to the best food processor with plenty of high-quality options recommended by Mumsnetters, including models ideal for slicing and dicing. We hope you find it useful.

Have you got any further with your research @Titsywoo?

The magimix is great but it won’t perfectly dice, just chop) (it grates and slices).

That said, I have a beautiful 5 litre one, but actually rarely use it and use my £60 magimix micro all the time instead because it is much smaller and easier to move in and out of the cupboard. You might find 2 smaller machines more handy than one “do it all” machine.

I discounted the magimix because you can’t just use the small bowls - the small bowls only work when placed inside the large bowls and people said that despite best efforts all the bowls get messy and you have to wash up everything.

I have a mini chopper attachment for my bamix, but my ancient Bosch food processor is on its last legs and I also don’t know what to replace it with. I’ve also got a Chef which does mixing etc so I really only need a FP for grating/shredding and cutting in fats for pastry.

I have the KitchenAid 3.1 litre one, which is very good. It has a smaller bowl and a bigger bowl, so can process different amounts depending on how much I have. It comes with grating blade, slicing blade as well as a chopping blade for each bowl and an egg whipper thing I’ve never used.

I have the large magi mix which is a bit of a pain if you want to do small quantities. It's motor is good though.

I have the Sage. It is fantastic.

Can you get an attachment for the kenwood chef instead?
