Bought a Breville Anthony Worrall Thompson food processor a year ago and it has broken already! Can anyone recommend one that will last longer? I mainly use it for chopping vegetables, making breadcrumbs etc.

Yeah deffo Magimix.
They are very sturdy.

got to be magimix. Will cost you £200 but last for 20 years or more.

I bought a real cheapie Black and Decker and it's great. Basic but it chops and grates.

PS - I think with any processor it's important not to overload it or the engine will burn out.

The plastic lid has broken on the breville. There's a sort of 'catch' which locks into the main body of the machine, but this has broken off and the machine won't work unless it's located. I would send off for another lid, but I wasn't too impressed with it anyway. Just wanted to see if there were any 'sturdier' processors around.
