Just realting to a previous thread of mine earlier, can anyone recommend a great bowl/plate for 18 mnt who is feeding himself? He is in tripp trapp, the suction bowls i have arent big enough anymore to fit his dinner in without mashing it all up. He likes the plates that have seperate bits but have found useless as slip about and not deep enough for him to scoop food up. Any suggestions?

just read the title as toddler bowels! Can't help with anything to hold food.

Frizbe · 09/01/2008 22:44

would a good place mat that stops the plate slipping be better?
dd2 here is using ss's old bob the builder bowl, about 8 years old now, so can't be much help here, but can confirm bowl has a good life span!

KBB I have reported your post because it seems like you have joined MN just to advertise this product (small businesses must pay a fee to advertise on this board)

If you are genuine then I am sure MN will sort it out, but just letting you know what I have done

KBB · 11/01/2008 18:39

FrannyandZoey I can assure you I am 100% genuine and just feel very upset that you have questioned the fact that I am trying to
advertise this product for my own self gain. I just wanted to help other people with the same issues that I have been having with feeding my son. What a very sad world we live in!!! I am more than happy to supply my phone number if you feel the need to contact me. I only supplied the website as it is a brand new product and hard to find. At the end of the day this post was about who's got great toddler bowls say no more!!!

FrannyandZooey · 11/01/2008 18:41

KBB this was your first post I believe and so I have no way of telling if you are a genuine poster or whether you wanted to advertise this product.

As I said I am sure MN will sort it out - that is there job - I have just brought it to their attention.

Happy Mumsnetting

The products linked to by KBB were designed by "Kaye Broad" and her husband. The same KBB??

alicefairfax · 11/01/2008 18:49

I don't think it matters too much, baby bjorn ones are nicer, less than half price and freely available.

KBB · 11/01/2008 18:52

My name is Karen Bailey, but as you say I am sure Mum's Net will see I am 100% genuine.

We have a variety of melamine things (plates, shallow bowls) that I sourced from my local pound shop (£1 for 3 kinda thing). Shove them in dishwasher/microwave to reheat, seem fine.

Don't worry, KB is only here to flog stuff so we may as well have honest product reviews!!

BroccoliSpears · 11/01/2008 19:41

My 19 month old just uses the same plates and bowls as us. Got fed up with plastic and melamine is expensive and breaks. Hot food cools faster in proper plates and bowls which is a bonus.

hotbot · 11/01/2008 19:41

i ahve the alicefairfax recommendation and they are great to use., with hands or spoons! oh - dds hands not mine!

Umlellala · 11/01/2008 20:40

Hmmm... do I mean melamine then? (oops, am mummymagic - have namechanged) cos we got ours from pound shop...

Broccoli am with you, I totally resent buying 'special' stuff (hence buying generic poundshop rather than TommeeTippee) and I tried using our plates/bowls but dd smashed three on separate occasions (not even on purpose I don't think) dropping them on the floor when my back was turned. She would use them in a cafe or if there was no alternative but I do think unbreakable if poss. She uses a normal fork though (have you actually tried using those plastic things?! )
