Help needed with bland meal

I made this slow cooker chicken meal a couple of days ago just as the recipe dictates, and it turned out very bland.

Unfortunately, I bulk-bought 12 of these seasoning mixes. I was wondering whether anyone could offer any advice on how to jazz this recipe up a bit so it doesn’t taste so shit?

You need this

You can get it on Amazon. And you won't need those seasoning mixes ever again! But you can use the Tony's to jazz it up for sure.

Lots of herbs & garlic always. Mixed herbs, oregano or herbs de Provence go well. Make sure there's enough salt & pepper. Add one of the red wine stock pots or chicken stock pots to the slow cooker pot (whole, not further mixed with water).

I would try browning the shallots, chicken and bacon before they go in the slow cooker. Then add some fresh herbs.

Brown the shallots, chicken and bacon and tip any fat from that in with them.

Did you season yourself with salt and pepper to taste? You always need to do that, at the end if you're not sure. There's nothing to stop you using additional seasonings too. Baffles me why people follow recipes or use products to the letter then eat a terrible meal rather than just tasting as you cook/at the end and adjusting accordingly.

To be fair, using packet mixes probably means you're not a very confident cook, so you wouldn't know how to make things taste better.

Use chorizo instead of bacon and a spoon of Smokey paprika?

Loads of garlic at the start and fresh chopped flat leaf parsley at the end?
