Hello, I'm 24 with an 8 month old baby. Lately I've just been feeling meh about food. I'm such a picky eater and I'm sick of eating spag Bol, pasta bake and oven pizzas :| I'm really feeling like I'm just putting so much rubbish into my body but no idea what to make?! I'll list below foods I don't like so you guys can help me!🤞🏼

I don't like any meat except chicken (slightly) bacon and sausages and some mince
I hate avocado, rice, fish (all fish)

Vegetable wise I like onions, peppers, mushrooms and broccoli, cauliflower etc

That's just a basic run down, I hate that much food I can't remember what else 😂

Someone pls throw some ideas/send some links to me!!! I want to start eating more again, I'm eating one small meal a day atm and I'm feeling slightly skinny :(

Ty

Try a recipe search engine. Just put in the food items you like and it will suggest recipes.

BBC good food has lots of recipes

For example if you click on the meat options then choose chicken breast it gives all these

Do you have a slow cooker? They are great for throwing things together in a very low effort kind of way.

All the veg you like in a veg curry. Cottage pie. Chicken and Philadelphia wrapped in bacon with potatoes and veg.

I see you have an 8 month old. Do you feel you could try new foods as you introduce them to baby? The Annabel Karmel book was fairly good at introducing foods (this was 15 years ago though).
If you don’t the other sites previous posters have recommend are pretty good, there is another one where you put what ingredients you have in your cupboard and it gives you a recipe. You could add in the foods you like instead. If I can remember it I’ll link it

This chicken curry was a hit when mine were weaning and we enjoyed it as a whole family. You don’t need to serve it with rice; naan bread would be sufficient.

Not one for the baby, but this chicken and broccoli stir fry is decorous and so quick to make. Don’t worry, rice noodles aren’t at all like actual rice!

You could put your favourite veg into a frittata like this one. The baby could have some too and leftovers make a good lunch.

What sort of flavourings do you like? Spicey/chilli? Curry? Herbs? I think that makes a big difference.

With those vegetable choices you could have a lot of salads or stir fries. If you like fajita style spices, fry the onions and peppers with some garlic, add paprika, oregano, chilli (optional), salt, sugar and serve in wraps with some cheese (or cook halloumi if you like it). You don't have t have the avocado if you don't like it. If you want it more "saucy" add some passata and let it cook for a few minutes.

If you like pasta, then you can have pasta with sauces made from the vegetables you like. Broccoli and bacon go well together so could be made into a sauce with some cheese. Something like, this or this.

Or roast broccoli and cauliflower with whatever herbs/spices you like (we like lemon zest and fennel or cumin or smoked paprika) and serve it with whatever you like - potatoes if you don't like rice perhaps (you could even just roast potatoes with the other veg - par boil them first) and eat it as a sort of one pan meal.

Other roasted vegetables work well and peppers also roast really well with some baby tomatoes and garlic. Serve with some hummus and flatbreads.

Cauliflower cheese is nice and can be a meal - add carbs if you like. Or serve with sausages.

Do you eat eggs? Again, many of the vegetables you have referenced would work well in a quiche or omelette.
