Any nice fruit scones, cakes, flapjacks recipes about? preferably lower in sugar too? Energy balls?

Scones don't need to have much, if any sugar in, especially if they have dried fruit. Cheese or other savoury scones obviously don't.
Unfortunately you can't say the same for flapjacks -- they quite often have both golden syrup and sugar in the recipe . It's what makes them chewy and stick together. Sorry!

I just googled Splenda recipes and there are quite a few but have to admit i've never tried any.

Fruit, particularly dried, is full of sugar. Energy balls are usually v high cal. What are your goals / aims? Just 'reducing sugar' neither are a good option.

This recipe, by Mary Berry, has just one ounce of sugar and 50 grams of mixed dried fruit in total and makes around 14 scones.
That's not going to be a huge amount of sugar per scone.

(one ounce of sugar should be 25 grams for consistency!)

These are very tasty. Not low carb, just low refined sugar.

I am sure I've seen dates blended with oil to replace the golden syrup in flapjacks.

I personally wouldn't rush to try it, but each to their own.

I've tried making flapjacks with blended dates and with mushed bananas to make sugar free versions. They taste ok, but the texture and taste is nothing like a flapjack. DH calls them porridge bars.

You can put 2 ripe bananas, 2 eggs, 1 tin drained and patted dry chickpeas, 1 TSP bicarbonate of soda and 1 TSP baking powder, dash of vanilla, some cinnamon and about 1/3 cup almond flour (or any other flour works) in a blender until smooth. Stir in dark choc chips and pour into a lined loaf tin. Bake at 170 for 45 mins. Healthy, low sugar, lower cal banana bread 😁
