Her appetite is just returning from being 'viral' for the past week but she has mouth ulcers. So far she's eaten cheesy tuna pasta with veggies, soft warm bread, porridge, blueberries.

All ideas welcome of soft non-stingy food!!!

Banana custard
Stewed apples (use sweet dessert apples)

Oddly I like bake beans when I have ulsas - but I don't know if that's cos I hope the salt will heal it quickly

Did you know that custard powder is BRILLIANT at healing and soothing ulcers? Just dab some on. Strange but true.

Baked potatoes with cheese?

Thank you and bump bump bump!!

Really about custard powder??? I've never heard of that - does it make them heal more quickly or just take the pain out of them?

How old is she? Just wondering if it's ok to use oragel for her. It has mild anaesthetic in it so it numbs the ulcer long enough for you to be able to eat without loads of pain?

It definitely stops them hurting and I think it helps them heal but someone may tell you I'm wrong about that. We all had to take these quinine pills as kids that gave us terrible mouth ulcers and we swear by custard powder. It really helps.

She's 1 and I've tried anbesol on her and bonjela. She's dribbling so much with them that it all seems to come straight off. I will definitely give the custard powder a go!
