plan some meals that include some high protein and fat bits that the kids eat but you don't.

Like pasta with a non-fatty vegetable and tomato sauce, but the kids have it with a drizzle of olive oil and grated cheese, and you don't.

Also things like mashed potato, mashthe potato without adding any butter/milk/cheese for you, then add these things for the kids.

Bulk up on a starter of steamed veg or salad before the main, then just have a smaller portion than the kids.

Is this the sort of thing you are after?

I sometimes do things like casseroles with lean meat and lots of veg, and have it with mash or brown rice or something. I just fill up more on the casserole and have a small amount of potato/rice/whatever and give the children a more 50/50 combo. Am pg at the moment so doesn't apply right now! But I find this kind of food is a good way of doing it. Also good to freeze.
I then chop up the meat parts in babys bowl a bit smaller, or even just put their portion in the blender when too young for big lumps.

I think if you stick to a fairly plain (ie not fatty sauces etc) meat and 3 veg type of diet all of can eat the same. DD is 16m and tonight ate roast beef, yorkshire pudding (ok not if you are dieting ) and veg.

DP and I had Gravy but otherwise she can eat the same. Even at 9m your lo should be able to manage similar (pureed if you do them or cut up v small as finger food).

Make sure los are having enough Dairy etc in addition, yoghurts and cheese, butter on pasta and potato etc.

Don't use salt and extra fat when cooking and it should be fine.
