Need a recipe and can't go out to shops

I have:
Chicken breasts
mushrooms
1 large onion
stock cubes
red wine
a few bits of carrot
tinned tomatoes
various tinned beans/chickpeas
a few dried peppers
garlic
herbs
1 random aubergine and a red cabbage.
I don't have to use it all. I am doubtful about the aubergine and the red cabbage.
I have rice and pasta but no potatoes.
Would really appreciate some suggestions.
My arthritis has flared up and my feet will not carry me to the shops.
Many TIA.

realfood.tesco.com/what-can-i-make-with.html

Use a recipe search engine. They come up with dozens of ideas. I’m veggie so can’t help Grin

Look up recipes for chicken chasseur, seems you have all the ingredients.

Chasseur. Brilliant, thank you. That will work.
I was googling casseroles but they all seemed to need bacon for some reason.

If you had creme frais I have a simple recipe.

Cook chicken breast in oven or chop into small pieces and fry in 1 teaspoon of oil in large frying pan. Once chicken appears cooked through add tub of creme fresh, stir. Add handful of peas and sweetcorn or substitute for chopped peppers to sauce. Cook the pasta. Pour sauce on top.

Don't worry about missing out the bacon - recipes can be adapted a bit when needs must.
An aubergine and chickpea curry might be nice too

Thanks everyone. I have done a version of chasseur and it is in the oven. I will save the other recipes for another time. I substituted passata for the tomato puree, but otherwise the recipe was perfect.

Hope it turned out well :)

Use a recipe from the Internet. Alternatively look at your cookbooks to see what you want to make. BBCgoodfood has lots of useful tasty recipes, take a look at their website for ideas and tips.

I had done a bit of googling but everything seemed to have a selection of things I didn't have.
The chasseur was a great suggestion and the 4th recipe I found was doable with one substitution. I was in so much pain I couldn't think straight.
Two lots of prednisilone in and I am feeling a bit better and my lovely GP has sent another prescription over to the chemist .

thanks again.

Glad you found a solution, OP. For the future, did you know you can book food deliveries from any of the major supermarkets? They will carry it into your house for you if you are disabled, or put it on your doorstep if you prefer to isolate. I found them a godsend when my Covid fatigue was too severe to get round a shop.

Thanks Babdoc. I just had this defrosted chicken in the fridge that needed using. I literally chucked everything in the casserole and stuck it in the oven. I have RA and it can suddenly flare up at the most awkward times and once it attacks my hands I am in a pickle. This time it is my hands, feet and one shoulder, which is a challenge.
Typing with one finger makes it tricky to explain.
