Following day packed lunch ideas with no fridge

I am travelling somewhere the day before an event. I'll be staying in a hotel with no fridge or ability to heat anything other than a kettle. No food shops will be open near the hotel, and the event has no onsite or nearby catering. What can I take for a packed lunch which would be safe the following day?
Usually at this time of year im happy to leave marg, ham. cheese etc overnight in the car boot and make sandwiches . Or pork pies, pasta salad etc But I won’t have a car with me this time. plus will need to repeat the same later in the year when it would be too warm for that so need ideas for then too.
I once took one of those pasta and tuna lunch pots with a foil lid and it was vile. I considered taking a flask and pot noodles, but that’s not really something I'd normally eat. And maybe a couple of tea cakes and some marg. I’m sure marg will be fine by the window overnight but wouldn’t want to risk meat or cheese.

I will take fruit. I’d appreciate any other ideas else I can see me scoffing crisps, cake and biscuits all day as I won’t be having breakfast at the hotel.
Thank you

I organise events and would be ashamed to hold such a crap day tbh. If they can't even provide food options I can't imagine how terrible the rest of the event will be!

John west tuna pots. Just say store in a cool place unopened. Try to get some sachets of Mayo from somewhere (next time you’re out for coffee nab a few) and use instead of butter for sandwiches.
Egg is smelly.
Hummus definitely wouldn’t keep.

I understand their reasons (see previous explanation) given the nature of the event. I don't want to go into too many details as I have been identified on here before and I found that a bit uncomfortable.

It is what it is and I really would just appreciate suggestions for food that will be safe and still tasty out of a fridge for up to 24 hours.

And you can’t pop out for 10 mins during a break to pick something up? Or ask a fellow participant to bring you some stuff? There’s no takeaways for dinner the night before?
Sorry if my OP wasn't clear. I don't need night before food. It's purely lunch the next day. Logistics are such that I need to take food with me.

Some hotel rooms are really hot so I wouldn't risk anything that can't be safely stored at s ambient temperature tbh.
So d rule out non-preserved cheese, meat, rice, even margarine.
Look for things in tins, jars or foil that don't need the fridge at all: primula cheese, laughing cow (not the low fat version), pepperamis, Mattesons smoked sausage (not the low fat version), jars of paste or pate, little tins of pate (available in the Eastern European aisle), jars of sundried tomato with little balls of cheese, jars of artichoke hearts or roasted peppers, salad, wraps, crackers, melba toast, fruit, and you have a feast.

Ok well, to answer your actual question - if it’s just lunch you need, I would take a box of chopped veg and some couscous or bulgar wheat in a separate Tupperware box. In the morning you can just pour the water onto the grains, fork through and leave to sit while you get ready. Then mix the chopped veg in. Maybe take a little bottle of dressing to add flavour. I often have this type of thing as a salad for lunch, usually with some feta crumbled on top but if you don’t think feta would keep then you could skip this (or take one of those jars of feta cubes in oil which seem to keep out of the fridge fine). Could also add a small jar of pitted olives.

That ticks all the boxes, thank you

Hard cheese will be fine out of the fridge for 48 hrs.
Jacobs crackers can be bought packed in 3s ( Tescos about £1.20 ) so they won't go soft.
I have often taken a unopened tub of humus away with me with no I'll effects after unrefrigerated for 48 hrs
If you have cool back and ice packs obviously you that if not a carrier bag and a couple of bottles of water /squash three-quarters full ( expel the air or they will explode ) and frozen will keep things cold .

Do you have / can borrow a flask, a good quality Steel one will keep things hot for 24-hours with no problem so soups stews bolognese chillies etc all good to go.

Things that don't need refrigerating at all are obviously ideal
Bread - bagels , thins, croissants, pitta , tortilla wraps, nan.
Fillings - meat paste , hard cheese, tubes of squezzey cheese, no drain tuna , sardines , mackerel , spam , cornbeef,
Make sandwiches more interesting with - pickles , Branston, piccalilli, mustard salad cream , mayo.
Snacks - any fresh fruit , any dried fruit , ready sliced or individual bars of malt loaf
Individually wrapped cookies

Are you going to be eating at the venue or or in your hotel need to bear this in mind to see if you need to take a plate spoons and forks and perhaps a small amount of washing up liquid to if you have to wash things in your hotel room.

Thank you, great suggestions. I'll take a porridge pot for breakfast which I'll eat at the hotel. Food for lunch will be prepped at the hotel and eaten at the venue. I've done this before and tend to take takeaway containers- can prep on the lids and saves sandwiches getting squashed. Although I take some clingfilm on an empty kitchen roll holder to keep them fresh. But am leaning towards the couscous or pouches of beans/pulses which can be decanted into a takeaway box also. I use a ltiny bit of shampoo to wash cutlery and give it a really, really good rise!

Could you take some cuppa soup sachets and a flask, and make them up in the Travelodge? Then just add some oatcakes and a babybel of something…
I’ve eaten babybels that have been in my changing bag for weeks….

Cuppa soups are an ace idea, I can just make it up at the venue and use some of the water for hot drinks. Thank you

You can get the Japanese style dry Noodle bowls at Sainsburys from a variety of brands. I usually eat these and add tofu / snipped greens / small tenderstem brocolli florets and a bit of cooked meat to them.
