Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has bought a soupmaker and do they feel that it is an worthy investment? I recently changed job and due to being in the middle of no where I need to bring lunch with me. I like the idea of coming home and throwing a few ingredients into the soup maker and in about 20 mins have lunch sorted for the next couple of days. Considering one with a saute function and self clean function.

I had one and got rid.

Now have an instant pot and love using it to make soup.

For all those saying use stick blender - I just end up splashing it everywhere on the worktop, cooker and cupboards! What's the trick?

I love ours but rarely use it because, well, I don’t even know. Maybe from January with the new me (diet, exercise etc etc 😉🤣) I’ll actually be arsed to make soups for work. The couple of times I’ve been organised enough to use it first thing in the morning, my dp and I both thoroughly enjoyed a flask of hot soup at lunchtime at work! Stick the ingredients in, turn it in, go off and get ready/get kids ready etc, come back and pour it in the flasks (having put hot water in flasks when baking morning tea).

*making! I don’t bake my morning tea.

Keep it at the bottom of the pan. Don’t splash it around. I don’t find it goes far, but my soup is thick, then I add liquid afterwards.

I avoid splashing by putting the ingredients (when warm, not hot) into a tall jug, then blending, then pouring back into the pan for final cooking.
