Always used allrecipes.co.uk for new dish inspiration and had some great successes. Their recipes took me from a novice to a half decent cook/baker. Just had a look now for the website and it's all gone! It diverts to another site which does not include the old recipes/photos/reviews etc. I'd printed off my favourite recipes but so sorry to see the site go. Anyone else feeling the loss? 😟

Ingredients
Serves: 12

225g butter or margarine, room temperature
350g caster sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
350ml milk
300g plain flour
6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda
1 teaspoon salt

Cook:40min

Ready in:50min

Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Grease and flour a 20x30cm tin. Sift together the flour, cocoa, bicarbonate of soda and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter or margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the milk, mixing just until incorporated. Pour cake mixture into prepared tin.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.

RaoulDufysCat Please help. Desperately trying to find ‘Donna’s foolproof gypsy tart’ recipe from all recipes uk site. I’ve tried the wayback machine but cannot get it. It doesn’t help that I don’t know how to do it.

Jo3636 · 20/12/2022 01:44

Can anyone help me find this recipe. I tried it in the wayback machine but can't find a print option and I don't have a printer anyway. It's the quantities I need more than anything, I can make them blindfolded.
