In the past I've used the smallest mesh on the grater ,but I always end up moving to the largest .Is this a no no ?

TIA

Ask Father Christmas for a microplane grater. Gamechanger

Depends on what I'm using it for!
I'd generally use the smallest grater bit on the box grater - I don't find the bit that looks like loads of stars (or explosions?) very helpful.
But if I was just going to boil and strain, sure id use the biggest grater bit!

I had to Google microplane grater. I have one of those and that's what I use in preference to my zester which takes ages and is fiddly.

Microplane looks good ,but think that Santa has already sailed .

It's for the turkey - thinking of Gordon Ramseys lemon and parsley effort .

Big setting on grater then finely chop the rind.

Doesn't work for martinis but perfectly good enough for recipes
