Gluten free cheesecake base

I have a lemon cheesecake type recipe which has a biscuit crumb base, but one of my guests needs gluten free. Any ideas for an alternative? I could use gluten free biscuits, but I'd prefer something more imaginative if possible.
Any ideas please?

I do a lemon chiffon tart with a biscuit crumb base and use a mix of vanilla and ginger biscuits. Sometimes all ginger. It works well (gf, of course).

Or use chocolates biscuits? I’m not uk based so can’t advise actual products.

Not sure what you mean by imaginative? Do you mean more interesting biscuits than digestives or something entirely different for the base?
Personally I find biscuit bases give the perfect crunch against the creaminess of a cheesecake, if it ain't broke don't fix it!

I have heard of some people using pastry as a base, but that would be quite challenging with GF, or using a thin layer of cake, which does appeal to me as it's more softness. I guess you could look into a GF Anzac biscuit recipe and use that for the base, rather than crushed shop bought biscuits, I think it could be very nice. Basque cheesecakes use no base at all, so maybe that is something to think about.

I concur with PP and have used ginger biscuits (both GF and standard) for a cheesecake and adds a really nice flavour, that was for a lime cheesecake which I think compliments ginger better than lemon. I also add a nice pinch of salt the the biscuit layer to cut through the richness and sweetness of the topping.

Tesco gluten free digestive biscuits are the best, other ginger biscuit, shortbread bases are too sweet and rich.

There are lots of recipes if you Google, using eg ground almonds, oats, nuts and other substitutes.
