I want to buy one as a present for someone, I don't mind if it costs a bit more than normal but I would like it to be one that she uses all the time .

Can anyone recommend an amazing cook for me to give her so she thinks I am the most amazing friend ever? - pleasy please please

Well I like Rick Steins books. Also think Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall(is that his name?) has a new book out on fish.

Thanks yogimum, I was told that there was a good one from the River Cafe but I have been unable to find it, any ideas anyone?

Seafood by Rick Stein is brilliant. The classic is one called Madame Pruniers (but I think that is for cookery book geeks - I used to work in a cookery book shop!)

This is the River Cottage one. I have just been given it but have not done any of the recipes yet - it seems very good on sourcing fish and general principles of fish cookery.

My mum has this by Mark Hix but it drives her up the wall as it is full of expensive ingredients you can't find.
