i have a very lovely recipe, but my whole family seem to make it and I'd really like a change (esp as i'm preg so can't consume my usual prefered alcolholic version!)

anyone got a good recipe? i fancy something with cranberry or grape juice in it maybe? mine is mostly apple juice and some orange.

TIA!

I seem to remember a lovely one with apple, grape and pomegranate in it. Will see if I can find it for you.

Also got a hot lovely spiced apple juice which involves cinnamon and gloves - dead simple to make.

I've made hot mulled apple juice which is delicious with:

1 ltr cloudy apple juice
1/2 lemon juiced
2 mugs black tea
10 cloves
tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
sugar, brown or otherwise to taste
you can add a shot of calvados if you are feeling racy. its good to heat through and then take the spices out (with strainer) if its going to sit around for a while as they make hot drinks bitter....

My apple recipe is almost the same as BefnalBub's but without the tea! Will have to try it with..

Rather than the tsp ground cinnamon I use 2 sticks and heat in a pan to infuse.

"Ruby juice" - can be served warm or chilled but much nicer hot

1,5 litre clear apple juice
1 litre pommegranate
1/2 litre white grape juice (optional - try it with, try it without, but if not using up the apple juice by 1/2 litre)
Castor sugar to taste (technically you're supposed to use fancy sugar syrup but castor works!)
10 cracked allspice berries (or a pinch ground allspice)
6 cinnamon sticks
10 cloves
8 star anise

Heat to boil, remove from heat and leave for a couple of hours to steep, strain and reheat if serving hot

Also highly recommended with a shot of calvados!
