COULD YOU HAVE THIS INSTEAD OF TURKEY FOR CHRISTMAS DINNER??????

I wanted something other than turkey so thought that the Cured Rack Joint with Pomegratate glaze from M&S sounded good.

It is a 10 rib cured Pork loin joint dressed with pomegranate glaze abd spiced muscovado sugar.

Could you have this instead of Turkey with Roast Potatoes etc....

of course, that sounds lovely!

I wondered if it were meant to take the place of a ham if you know what I mean. When I was kid we always has a bit or Turkey and a bit of ham - (boiled and then roasted with a nice glaze).

It looks so tempting though so interested to hear that others think it would be ok - thanks

mumofmonSTARsOfBethlehem · 08/12/2007 19:14

you can have whatever you want at xmas, we are having chicken

SeaShells · 08/12/2007 19:21

Yes you can have whatever you desire to eat on christmas day, Turkey isn't a law you must abide by. We are seriously considering having pizza!

CremolaFirCone · 08/12/2007 19:24

yes i thought that looked good in the mands brochure. i would be wanting pommes duphinoise with it.

Well I ordered it today. My worry is my Mum who can't understand not having a turkey even though she does not like it particularly. I had leg of lamb last year which I thought was lovely.

I best stick to trad veg or she will get seriously worried. I also don't like Chris Pudding so I ordred the Tiramisu (sp?). She will be well pissed off there.

Lots of people find turkey too dry / tasteless and have other meats instead. My aunty always has Beef Wellington on Xmas day. A friend always has duck. Personally I think you should eat what you love, not feel a slave to tradition.

mmm - sounds fab - and it will go well with the traditional accompaniements - red cabbage, cranberry sauce, etc.
