Yorkshire pudding recipe

DH has requested a Yorkshire pudding wrap for tea instead of the usual roast, found a recipe on BBC good food but I'm confused by it!

150g plain flour
3 eggs
300ml full-fat or semi-skimmed milk

I use a recipe from MIL which I think is an ancient Delia Smith recipe and with 3 eggs I would usually use 105g flour and 150ml milk.

Is the difference so the Yorkshire is flatter so easier to wrap?! I don't want to follow the recipe if it doesn't work as MIL's works every time

Oh not sure on this one. Have you tried it yet?

Out of interest, OP, I googled Yorkshire pudding recipes, and surprisingly, Jamie Oliver, Mary Berry, James Martin and the BBC good food site ALL had different proportions to each other!
I think if you’ve had good results with your own recipe, stick with it!
I use an ancient (1970s) edition of Good Housekeeping for my Yorkies, but it’s all in imperial measures. I never converted to grammes.

Get a vessel (small cup or similar). Fill it with plain flour. Put flour in a bowl. Fill same vessel with milk. Empty into bowl with flour. Fill same vessel with eggs. Empty into bowl with milk and flour. Add extra egg. Whisk altogether. Job done.

I followed the recipe & it worked 🤷🏻‍♀️ DD said this was the best I've ever made but she says that quite regularly 🤣

This was the finished article, it was delish

I never measure the flour when I make Yorkshire’s, half a pint of milk- 3 eggs and enough flour to make it the texture of double cream.
