Are there any cooking sprays that don’t ruin non-stick cookware?

I would like to use a cooking oil spray to my pans to reduce the amount of oil I use but am extremely wary of ruining my pans. I have had bad experiences with frylight, for instance. The obvious answer is to try and put oil in a mister and make my own but I’ve found that doesn’t really work in the ones I’ve tried because oil is so much denser than water.

Is there any that people have tried that don’t leave perma brown marks on their cookware?

Sainsburys own brand are fine ; both olive & vegetable (rape) are pure oil, no lecithin.

You could just use a pastry brush / new paint brush to brush your pans in ordinary cooking oil. Less additives & no clogging up spray nozzle. Smile

As others have said, it's the additives that are the issue.

This one is pricey but by far the best I've found - it is 100% oil, but an actual spray rather than a squirt, so you get even coverage:

Shock

I have just realised that this is why my lovely frying pan is no more lovely.

I think I will buy a new paintbrush

If you have good quality non stick pans, you shouldn't need much oil in the first place surely? Just a small amount that you then spread around with your spatula? Or use a bit of kitchen towel to coat the pan with oil.
