Your favourite Autumn family meals...

I am looking to create a new meal plan for 3 weeks at a time. Fed up of the kids moaning 'it's always chicken' (it's not).

We eat everything except no gluten (but use GF alternatives so not really an issue). We try not to eat fish/sea food more than once a fortnight and would like to eat less meat so some veggie options would be well received. Kids are a bit adverse to spice still. Ideally less than 30-40 mins prep time.

My first week looks like this:

Chilli with nachos and guacamole
Apple, sausage, sweet potato bake
Ratatouille with Halloumi
Hot dogs or steak burgers with sweet potato wedges
Chicken with mascarpone, peppers, mushrooms with rice or pasta
Cottage / Shepherd's Pie
Prawn Saganaki with rice

Anyone care to share they're favourites for the next few months?

Oo these look lovely.

We eat the same meals most of the time so I'm stealing ideas.

We eat summer or winter a dahl that I make in the slow cooker - red lentils, frozen onions, frozen spinach frozen sweet potatoes, half a jar of curry paste, salt, pepper, tom puree, loads of coriander and fenugreek.

A tuna pasta sweetcorn

Chicken sausages with either hm chips, beans and egg or mash and veg

A type of roast.

Its very boring! I could do with slow cooker ideas that don't just take like slop! Or food that can be prepared in advance like a tray bake as we both work stupidly long hours.

Mushroom strogonoff

Current courgette glut means we're eating a lot of courgettes slowly fried with garlic, lemon zest and chilli (you can omit) on spaghetti with feta.

Butternut curry here (red thai) - v mild, but delicious.

Similarly, do a vaguely thai style chicken "soup" with rice noodles that is popular.

Paella - we do chicken and chorizo

Fishcakes

Jamie Oliver’s beef stew is lovely. As it takes so long in the oven, you can either have a lovely autumn walk or stay in enjoying the aroma and feeling smug that dinner is already made. I use half a bottle of red in it, more than the recipe states.

Jamie Oliver is really good for veggie recipes.
Also the bbc good food website. Their burnt aubergine chilli is a favourite here.

Dal is a good option that can be mild.
