Homemade freezer nuggets and kids food

Does anyone make batch food for kids as I don’t want to feed them birds eye food? I was thinking of making nuggets with dried breadcrumbs and freezing them raw, has anyone does this and does it work well?
Also any other batch food that freezes well and kids will eat?

Yep I do loads of this. I bought What Mummy Makes recipe book, it's a weaning book but the recipes are all foods to make the entire family to eat.

Our favourites include
Coconut crumb cod (basically fish fingers but the crumb is shredded coconut, delish and I don't even like coconut)
Corn flake chicken dippers
Chicken cheese and broccoli nuggets (taste amazing!)
Chicken and spinach tart
Butter chicken curry
Spiced yoghurt fish

My husband and I eat the same meal as our 1 year old. My sister in law feeds her 5 year old the same meals.

I make big batches of loads of the above and freeze and just pop in the oven for 20 mins!

Fish fingers
Sausage rolls
Chicken burgers
Tuna fish cakes

No, I never went down the road of 'kid's food' because it is more work and can create weird eating in kids. So I just had regular things in the freezer (e.g. curry, pasta sauces) and served that.

I've never fed DC & DGC "kiddies' food" either.
They have the same food as the adults - much easier for everyone.

We always ate the same food. Not sure why you'd double the amount of food prep & cooking you need to do?

We do eat the same food but they are only 1 and 2 and it’s hard work to cook sometimes, I just want easy freezer food for days I don’t get chance to cook, but with less guilt than feeding Birdseye or some other processed food

I prep and freeze home made burgers, super simple it’s literally just good quality mince and seasoning. I also par boil and freeze potatoes in a variety of forms chips, wedges etc

Also also pasta sauce is easy to make and freeze

I’ve done breast chicken in cornflakes but oven cooked them before freezing. I also cook and freeze into portions :- teriyaki thighs also good for lunchtime wraps, quiche, cheese veg muffins, curry chicken, mince for bolognese type dish. I don’t freeze and re heat peppers or pasta. Rice works brilliantly from freezer.

I'd often make extra fish or chicken goujons if I'm making them for our dinner and freeze them raw, very handy.

I have excellent little freezer pots just the right size for a toddler meal. So whenever I cook anything freezable I take out a couple of little portions (before I add salt), and freeze.

Works with all sorts - stews, tagine, mild curry, shepherds pie - whatever you're eating.

When I remember I take the pots out to defrost in the morning when I need them; even if I don't it's just a couple of mins in the microwave.
