Lunchbox question

Hi my Dd is started school soon and I'm trying to think up ideas for lunchboxes.

She will the standard carbs, fruit wise will eat oranges, banana, grapes and apples so fruit seems sorted but she doesn't like raw veg, she wouldn't eat carrot or celery sticks. So my question is if I steamed a batch of carrot sticks (or any veg) would they be ok to go in her lunchbox or does cooked veg go funny?

Thanks

They might go a bit floppy or rubbery. I've never sent veg tbh

Would she have sticks of red or yellow pepper, or cherry tomatoes?

If they are cooked I’d probably just make sure there was an ice pack in the lunch box.
Have you tried her on a pot of cold sweetcorn?

Thanks I thought the same when you said about going rubbery. Veg isn't essential for lunch anyway I guess. Ooh will try the sweetcorn

Could you do a trial run before she goes back to school, see how the vegetables fare in a lunch box and if she likes them? My children like sliced cucumber in their lunch boxes as an alternative idea to fruit :-)

Does she like roast veg? You could give her a little pot of roast veg salad.

Fruit wrapped up
Little fruit pies
Fruitcake
Fruit platter and cheese

You could try sugarsnap peas or baby corn - they tend to be more popular

Just give her veg for dinner, disguised in soup. Carrot is a fave in our house
