After whaat feels like 1000 years of meal planning I am grinding to a halt - mostly I don't mind doing it and DH does so much else it would be churlish to add to his job description. I love cooking and have so many cookery books that they would kill me if they fell over. I also subscribe to Delicious mag. But I am at a loss and have zilch ideas for the next week. Please throw some ideas at me.
We eat some meat and fish (no shellfish), pulses, all veg, rice, pasta etc. Lots of herbs and spices available. Apart from shellfish there is little we don't like. Only for the 2 of us but have freezer so can deal with leftovers.
am going out shortly but will read with relish on my return. Thank you

I love Spice Pots - they have 4 different spice varieties - which can be used in multiple recipes on their website - so no big shopping list for their curries!

Some ideas:

Chicken thighs baked on top of cardamom rice from Ottolenghi Jerusalem: thehappyfoodie.co.uk/recipes/chicken-with-caramelized-onion-and-cardamom-rice

Slow roast salmon with capers, red onion and sesame seeds/green salad/sweetcorn

Chickpea and tomato curry, rice, raita

Roast chicken thighs, courgette pasta salad (Here: anewsletter.alisoneroman.com/p/pasta-salad-video)

If you have a huge number of cookbooks I cannot recommend enough a subscription to Eat Your Books - I get so much more use out of my books now I can search all of them at a stroke on a website. Literally you can put in an ingredient, let's say you know you'll have mince and peppers in because of some other meal in the week, so you put "minced beef peppers" into the search box and it tells you which books and on which page in the book there is a recipe that uses those things. And you can just scan down the names of the recipe to see what you fancy and what other ingredients you'll need.
