I have a bag of mixed frozen veg I want to use up. Can you all tell me the best way to cook it.
I always find with frozen veg, whether I boil it or steam it it still had no flavour!

I usually use them to bulk up stews and casseroles.

Yes that's what I usually do. Im having it with a fish pie, so just using it as a side. Just want it to have some flavour though

Cook the veg in veg stock, drain and add some butter (and garlic if you like) it will take some of the "watery" taste away .

It has no flavour because you’re only boiling or steaming your food and presumably with no seasoning. Season your food and sauté it with butter and garlic.

I like to use it in egg fried rice - delicious!

I use in omlettes, in oven baked fritter thing for mu toddlers lunch, steammed then tossed in butter abd garlic or butter and chilli flakes

I’d steam rather than boil, or maybe just microwave 2-3 minutes from frozen with a little extra water. Add a little butter, lemon juice/zest, fresh ground black pepper, chile flakes or harissa, fresh herbs like mint, marjoram, sage, thyme, basil. Or a sauce like tahini, chili, honey mustard, tartare, peanut, etc. If you have a corn-heavy mix, miso is really good.

Alternatively I’d thaw them and pat them thoroughly dry and then add them to a quick fry/sauté with butter/oil and garlic, onions, chiles, ginger, peppers, mushrooms.
