Help! Pressure cooker and induction

Hi, advice please on using induction hob.
I am a big pressure cooker fan, used for 30 years plus. Just moved home to a kitchen with induction hob (exclusive gas hob user for rest of life)
I have prestige stainless still pressure cooker- works with induction
BUT; I can’t get a continuous gentle hiss of pressure while it’s on low .
I get it up to pressure ok, read that for induction don’t walk it up high to get to pressure, take it slower, done that. Reaches pressure ok
But then I Turn down setting to a low 2-3 range and the hob just seems to go on full, then turn off, go full, then turn off…it’s like the low setting is an intermediate blast of power, not an actual low setting. So the cooker is either hiss away at full blast or dying down and virtually loosing pressure.
What am I doing wrong?

The magnetic field in a typical induction hob is either on or off. When you set the hob to its highest setting it runs constantly. Lower settings produce less heat by operating for a smaller fraction of time.

It's a bit like a microwave where if you set it to 80% it doesn't run at 80% of capacity. Because the magnetron is either on or off it runs for 80% of the time and you can hear it cut in and out.

Unfortunately there's not much you can do with this particular hob. Others might work better with your pressure cooker, other pressure cookers might work better with your hob, or you might have to bite the bullet and buy an electric one.
