Quick - can I make a fruit cake in a big Le Cruset type pottery dish ???

I only have one square aluminium tin and I want to make a really big cut and come again fruit cake - can I do it in my pottery dish if I line it?

I think that the edges will burn well before the cake is cooked through.

Invest in a large silicone cake mould

We are just so greedy in this house - we ate all the last cake in 2 days

I will make scones too then I won't have to bake so quickly.

I used to make cakes in a glass casserole dish and they came out fine, so I would have thought it would be ok.
I'd personally just do two separately in the tins.
