Spinach

How do you manage to keep a bag of spinach from turning into a sloppy slurry after a couple of days please?

I've tried putting a sheet of kitchen towel in, which works well for lettuce, but not for spinach.

Following with interest. I only buy fresh spinach if I know I am using it the same or next day, otherwise I buy frozen. It's annoying when it comes in the veg box and I have to change all my plans to use it asap.

I pulverise it in the food processor and then freeze it. Or just freeze it and then break up the frozen leaves.

Same here. I think frozen spinach is one of the few veggies that are just as good frozen, & so convenient.

I just freeze it if I haven't used it in a couple of days. Mostly it goes in curries here, & it works just as well from the freezer - it wilts in just the same.

To be fair, I live in a hot country where it costs about 5p a bag, so for me it's not the end of the world if my loss is next door's donkey's gain, but I've genuinely found it freezes well.

Well freezer it is then. I use it fresh in salads more than cooked, but I was hoping someone might have worked out a surprising way to keep the fresh stuff, fresher for longer.
